The Waupaca County Board of Supervisors this week gave approval to a resolution establishing total compensation for the positions of sheriff and clerk of circuit courts. Under the resolution, total compensation for sheriff in 2019 will be 102,804 dollars, increasing to 109,096 dollars in 2022. For the clerk of courts, total compensation will be 77,651 for 2019, increasing to 82,404 in 2022. The board also approved abolishing the office of elected County Coroner, and creating the position of Medical Examiner, to be done at the conclusion of the current incumbent’s term. The current coroner is Barry Tomaras.
