The Waupaca Area Public Library is celebrating student art during its annual Youth Art Month exhibit. The exhibit, open in the library’s lower level exhibit room, showcases the artwork of Waupaca’s elementary, middle and high school students. The six-week exhibit will run through March 31. Judges presented nine top awards, and all received certificates and cash prizes from the Waupaca Library Foundation. Each March, Youth Art Month is observed across the country to emphasize the value of art and art education for all children and to encourage public support for quality school art programs. The library’s next exhibit will be an international traveling exhibit of recycled art titled “Second Time Around: Hubcaps as Art.”
