Sunday is the beginning of Daylight Saving Time, and ReadyWisconsin says there’s more you can do to get ready for spring other than setting your clocks ahead one hour. It’s also a good time to make sure all emergency safety items are ready for spring storm season, including changing the batteries in smoke alarms, weather radios, carbon monoxide detectors and flashlights. It is also recommended to put together an emergency kit or restock an existing one. Make sure you have enough food and water to last you and your family for at least three days, in case of an emergency and to check expiration dates on food supplies.
