All Menominee Indian School District parents, guardians and community members are invited to attend the district’s Parent and Community Impact Aid Forum, which will be held Wednesday at Menominee Indian High School. The event will start with a free dinner at 5 p.m., followed by a presentation, question-and-answer period and drawings for gift cards. The event is part of an ongoing communication process required for the district to receive Federal Impact Aid. At the forum, attendees will hear the results of a district-wide survey that was conducted last fall to determine the highest learning needs in the district. After compiling the survey results, an advisory group of parents, tribal and school district officials met to discuss and recommend changes for the district. The forum will give community members an opportunity to ask questions and make comments on the process and programming.
