Two people have died and a man is charged with an OWI causing death following a late Sunday night crash in Outagamie County.
It happened on highway 54 in the town of Bovina. Police say a 57-year-old man blew a stop sign and hit a vehicle that was occupied by two elderly people from Illinois. The 82-year-old and the 83-year-old were taken to ThedaCare in New London where they were pronounced dead.
The man driving was cited for operating while intoxicated–causing death.
All lanes of traffic were closed for nearly four hours late Sunday into early Monday morning.
