Jeanne E. Hintz, age 95, of Clintonville passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.
The former Jeanne Elizabeth Amel was born on October 5, 1922 in Shawano to Marvin and Evelyn (Kuester) Amel. She grew up in the Shawano area and graduated from Shawano High School. Jeanne went on to Bellin College in Green Bay and earned a degree in nursing. She was united in marriage on July 8, 1944 to Burton Hintz in Shawano. The couple farmed for many years in the Town of Larrabee, Waupaca County. Her husband preceded her in death on July 2, 1982.
Jeanne was a devoted homemaker, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother. She was a longtime member of Christ Congregational UCC, Clintonville. Jeanne enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and canning what she grew. Her other interests included cooking, baking, and reading.
Survivors include nine children: Cathie Hintz, Steven Hintz, Sherman (Mari) Hintz, Pam (David) Schwede, Diane Hintz, Beth Hintz, Wayne (Brenda) Hintz, Tammy (Darrick) Floyd, and Wendy (Jeff) Roubal. There are 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister-in-law, Kate Amel; and many other relatives and friends. Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Burton; three sisters, Rachel, Jewell, and Mary; and one brother, Richard “Bub”.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 18th at 12:00 Noon at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville. Rev. Jill Meyer will officiate and burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
