A 79-year-old Fremont man has been arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. Authorities say Charles G Moore attempted to have packages shipped from Oregon to his address in Fremont. A Waupaca County deputy was notified of two suspicious packages. According to the criminal complaint, when police investigated further, they discovered that one box contained 11 vacuum-sealed packages with a 11 pounds of marijuana. The other box had a total of 10 pounds of marijuana. An undercover deputy then arranged the delivery of the packages. Moore arranged for himself and another man, 59-year-old Stacey J. Cloutier of Fremont, to pick up the packages. After they loaded them into their vehicle at a gas station, they were arrested and the marijuana was seized. A search warrant at Moore’s home led to the discovery of more marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. Moore faces up to 19 years in prison if convicted, he’s being held on a 50,000 cash bond.
