Construction on Clintonville’s Main Street continues to move along successfully with the end in sight. Project Manager Korey Boehm says motorists should still expect to deal with detours for at least another month.
“Currently we’re going to be putting in the curb and gutter here through the rest of this week, and then moving on to sidewalk and driveways beginning next week and the following week after,” he explained. Other than that, we’re on schedule from their initial schedules.”
The $4.5 million project began in April and hasn’t seen many significant interruptions. That’s help the project run smooth, along with the support workers have received from local residents.
“Beginning from way back in April when we began the underground utilities, to now when we just started wrapping up the concrete pavement and getting to the curb and gutter,” Boehm said. “The residents along the project, and businesses, have been outstanding for us. They truly have and we can’t thank them enough.”
Crews hope within the next two weeks to get residents next to their properties, but through traffic will have to wait until its completion.
