Linda L. Grams, age 56 of Shawano, passed into the arms of her Savior on Monday, August 28, 2017.
Linda was born April 23, 1961 in Wausau, Wisconsin. She is the daughter of Elaine (Sparby) Schroeder and the late Alan Schroeder. She attended school in Wausau, graduating from Wausau East High School in 1979. Following high school, Linda earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Marketing from UW-Stevens Point. She then went to work for Graebel Moving and Storage in Wausau.
On April 12, 1985, Linda was united in marriage to Mart Grams in Wausau. Following their marriage the couple moved to Winneconne where Mart accepted a job teaching. In 1987 they moved to Shawano, where Linda raised their boys, Nate and Ben, until 1996 when she accepted a position at the Shawano City/County Library. Linda continued there until May 1, 2017.
Linda’s faith in her Lord was solid, and she read the Bible daily. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, puzzles, cooking, and was a voracious reader. Linda volunteered at school when her boys were students, was a member of the PTA, and a Boy Scout leader.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mart Grams of Shawano; her sons, Nate (Emily) Grams of Wausau, and Ben (Cassandra Husar) Grams of Catasauqua, PA; two grandchildren, Sophia and Allisandra; her mother, Elaine Schroeder of Wausau; her mother-in-law, Mary Grams of Tomahawk; her brother, Mark (Mary Morgan) Schroeder; brother-in-law, Rory Grams of Ft. Wayne, IN; nieces, Meghan Grams and Michele Houpt; and special friends, Merlin and Inez Soufal. Linda was preceded in death by her father and father-in-law.
A time to gather, celebrate, and remember the life of Linda L. Grams will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017, beginning at 10:00 AM until the closing prayer at 2:00 PM. Private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers and plants, a memorial fund is being established in Linda’s name for a fountain at Franklin Park.
