Shawano High School is preparing for back to school by hosting their back to school night Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. for all high school students. Shawano Activities Coordinator Charmaine Schrieber says it’s a good time for students to become acclimated.
“We encourage them to come in and take care of all the necessities and to find their locker, get their schedules, kind of get a lay of the land” Schrieber said. “For freshman, and we do have a special orientation for freshman, and that runs on Tuesday from 5 to 6 as well” she added.
Freshman won’t need to bring anything themselves for orientation and parents are encouraged to attend. Schrieber adds that the whole night is a good time to take care of any odds and ends students may need to before their first day of school.
“The office will be open, the counselors will be there, you can take care of your parking pass, fill up your lunch account-that’s important” Schrieber said. “Just take care of all those things so you’re ready to go for the first day of school and have that comfort level coming in.”
All schools in the Shawano District will have back to school night on the same evening.
