Bonduel quarterback Parker Bohm was perfect through the air, going 7-for-7 for 207 yards and tossing three touchdowns. He also punched in a score rushing in the 42-14 non-conference win over Coleman.
Two of Bohm’s touchdowns were big plays to Issac Garside of 79 and 52 yards.
“Bonduel here we run the ball, we run the ball, run the ball and then we open up with the pass,” Bohm said of their typical style. “Today the passing was open so we took advantage of it.”
Garside had five receptions for 167 yards.
While overall a young unit, the Bonduel offensive line held their own throughout the game and have made strides since last week’s scrimmage.
“I thought [the line] did a really good job in one week after breaking down the scrimmage and then coming back into this game,” said head coach James Westrich. “A ton of improvement, but we still have a long way to go. They did a nice job in pass protection protecting our guys and we were able to execute.”
Jacob Banker also caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Bohm. Riddick Bohm took a carry 38 yards for a score while Jordan Boldt finished the game with 94 yards on six carries.
Both of Coleman’s scores came in the fourth quarter. Blake Forner found paydirt from two yards out and Mason Winser took a carry 39 yards for the score.
