The Clintonville Diamondcats avenged two Regional tournament losses by beating Niagara 10-4 in their third meeting in the last week. The Diamondcats scored six runs in the fifth inning to pull away from a 4-4 tie. Kyle Finger doubled to drive in a run, following a first inning walk with bases loaded to drive in his first run of the game.
Hunter Vollmer went six and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and had seven strikeouts. Kevin Evosevich took the loss for Niagara. Matthew Moorse, Hunter Vollmer and Kyle Finger all had two hits in the game. Niagara committed three errors in the field. Chad Bork drove in three runs in the game for the Diamondcats.
