Roy R. Severson, age 73, of Clintonville passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at Pine Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center, Embarrass.
Roy Roger Severson was born on December 20, 1943 in Tigerton to Lester and Evelyn (Jelinski) Severson. He grew up and attended school in Tigerton. On October 30, 1965 he was united in marriage to Fae M. Rew at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. The couple lived in West Bend, Kewaskum, and Marion for five years before returning to the Clintonville area. Roy was employed by the City of Clintonville in the Public Works Department for 33 years, retiring in 2004. He was a longtime member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. In his early years, the couple enjoyed country line dancing and going camping. Roy liked gun deer hunting, trout fishing, and cutting firewood.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Fae; and four children, Ann (Tim) Zilch, Barbara (James) Foster, Christopher (Tracy) Severson, and Danielle (friend Richie G.) Severson. There are ten grandchildren: Heather, Joseph, Brianna, Christopher, Alicia, Keegan, Gavin, Shayenne, Taylor, and Arianna. There are two great grandchildren, Bailey and Bella. There is one sister, Judy Barth of Wittenberg, and one brother, Norm (Arlene) Severson. Roy is further survived by many other relatives, numerous co-workers, lots of good friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Duaine, a sister Ruth Ann Severson, and brother-in-law Lennard Barth.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 22nd at 11:00 AM at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, with Deacon Lincoln Wood officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
