Howard Hancock, Sr., age 78, of Bonduel, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 to join in the heavens above and has desired to reunite with his wife Ruth and son, Gary. Born in Oglesby, IL on April 4, 1939, he is the son of the late Phillip and Irene (Kaszynski) Hancock. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in March of 1958 and served our country until his honorable discharge in February of 1961. On March 8, 1963, Howard was united in marriage to Ruth Marie Boyd in Chicago. Howard and Ruth had 48 years of love and enjoyed their son Gary for 40 months. Ruth preceded him in death on July 24, 2011. He was the owner of “The Morgue” tavern in Slab City for 47 years and drove truck part-time during the summers. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling, watching NASCAR and the Brewers.
Howard is survived by: four children, Stephanie (Shawn) Klemens of Shawano, Howard (Angie) Hancock of Cecil, Clinton (Elizabeth) Hancock of San Antonio, TX and Shane (Cira) Hancock of Cecil; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is further survived by two brothers, Raymond Hancock and Victor Hancock; and adopted sister, Ulee.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Ruth; son Gary; two brothers, Roger and Phillip; and two sisters, Judy and Phillis.
Private family services were held.
