The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands approved a State Trust Fund Loan totaling $396,000 to the city of Clintonville to finance sewer projects. The money distributed by the BCPL comes entirely from program revenue without taxpayer money and they distribute more than 96 cents of every dollar of interest earned on BCPL State Trust Fund investments to Wisconsin’s public schools. The 2017 earnings of $32.1 million are the sole source of state funding for K-12 public school library materials. The Board approved loans to 11 municipalities last week, totaling close to $9 million.
