Eric Thames pounded a game-winning, walk-off home run to give the Milwaukee Brewers a 6-5 win over San Diego Friday night. The 10th-inning shot was Milwaukee’s first walk-off homer in two years.
Both teams combined for seven home runs. Travis Shaw, Keon Broxton and Manny Pina also had round-trippers for Milwaukee, which ran its winning streak to four games in a row. Jared Hughes picked up the victory in relief.
Chase Anderson faces the Padres for the second time this year today. He’ll be opposed by Dinelson Laeet on the bump.
First pitch is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. from Miller Park.
