The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department continues to enforce speed limits on Highway 47.
Shawano County Sheriff Adam Bieber has had patrolling done for the past couple of weeks, as speeding on Highway 47 continues.
Sheriff Bieber said in two hours of work one day last week, he stopped and cited seven drivers ranging in speeds from 68 MPH to 85 MPH.
“I’m really hoping people see this and I get zero stops for speed violations next time,” said Bieber.
“Going to your cabin or casino is not an exemption for speeding.”
Shawano County has had multiple accidents and fatalities on Highway 47 in the recent years, and many have been speed related.
