One of Wisconsin’s largest birds is reemerging in the northeast part of the state. The American White Pelican has made its presence known in the Green Bay area, and the D-N-R’s Jeff Pritzl says about 24-hundred nesting pairs have made themselves at home. Pritzl say that an abundant fish supply on the Fox River helps attract the white birds with long gray wingspans, and the region has a high quality of nesting grounds.
