Jaime Lee Matchopatow, age 34 of Keshena, was called home to the Spirit World on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Jaime was born on August 29, 1982 in Shawano, a son of John Heczko, Sr. and Mavis Matchopatow. He graduated from Menominee Indian High School and worked as a groundskeeper at a filling station. Jaime enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his sons, Jayme Matchopatow of Shawano and Dauntah Tebeau of Keshena; his parents, John Heczko, Sr. of Shawano and Mavis Matchopatow of Keshena; three sisters, Lori (Ted) Gillis of Pulaski, Krysten Matchopatow of Keshena, and Kayeloni Heczko of Keshena; three brothers, Jordon Matchopatow of Janesville, Jeffrey Matchopatow of Keshena, and John (Marie) Heczko IV of Shawano; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and praternal grandparents and a nephew, Trent Matchopatow.
A Funeral Mass for Jaime Lee Matchopatow will be celebrated on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena. Fr. Francis Zurbano will be the Celebrant. Burial will take place in the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Serenna Waupoose residence, W2631 Chief Josette St., Keshena, until the procession leaves for church on Saturday. A prayer service will take place on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 7:00 PM.
