Marcia Yaeger Steps Away From School Board After 18 Years
Long time Shawano School Board Member Marcia Yaeger summed up 18 years of being on the Shawano School Board, as members of the board showed appreciation for her time.
“I have had many opportunities to learn from you and enjoyed the time that I have served with you, even though it has not been near as many years as you have served” said board member Michael Sleeper. “I appreciate the mentoring”.
Yaeger decided not to run for the April election. Alyssa Pillsbury will take over starting in May. Both Pillsbury and Bruce Milavitz were sworn in.
“I will miss it, but it was time” said Yaeger. “The district is made up of everyone and that is where it all counts.”
Yaeger said she had one focus when making her decisions for 18 years.
“The first thing that I believe in is what can we do for our kids” As long as we keep kids in mind ufirst, we are going to have a great district.”
Yaeger was presented with a certificate of appreciation from the District as well as the State.
