Frog Country’s first softball broadcast of the year will feature a pair of FVA teams squaring off in Hortonville (2-1-1), with the Polar Bears hosting Oshkosh North (2-0).
Hortonville enters the contest off of a 10-0 route of Fond Du Lac on Tuesday. Polar Bear pitcher Jordan Martin turned in her best performance of the year, throwing a one-hit, complete-game shutout, striking out 10 batters in five innings. On the season, Emily Cliver is Hortonville’s leading hitter, going 5-of-12 in the first four games.
Oshkosh North also enters after a 10-0 win Tuesday after defeating Kimberly in five innings. Pitcher Syd Supple tossed a perfect game with nine strikeouts, including five of the final six hitters she faced. Offensively, Oshkosh North combined for 11 hits.
