At Wednesday night’s school board meeting, the Pulaski Board of Education approved the appointment of Jennifer Sommers, current Glenbrook Elementary School Dean of Students, as principal of Lannoye Elementary School.
Sommers will be replacing Nichole Napralla, who has served the previous two years as principal of both Fairview and Lannoye elementary schools. Napralla will continue on as Fairview principal next year, in addition to taking on other duties as district assessment coordinator.
Sommers taught third grade in the Ashwaubenon School District for 12 years prior to her position at Glenbrook Elementary and says she looks forward to helping students reach their full potential.
“My philosophy is that we are all working together as a community, doing what’s best for our kids,” she said.
Jennifer Gracyalny, PCSD director of Learning Services, said, “We’re pleased to have Jen to continue to be a part of our team in Pulaski as a learning leader. She’s proven that she connects with our students, staff and parents, and we’re pleased she will bring that to Lannoye Elementary School.”
Sommers will assume her new duties on July 1 at the start of the next school year, however, the transition to her new role will begin immediately.
