The former Helen Irene Seelig was born on June 16, 1924 in New London to Otto and Martha (Riske) Seelig. Helen’s favorite pastime was fishing, especially with her old cane pole, down by the creek behind the barn or at Keller’s Lake whenever possible. Her husband Franklin preceded her in death on September 6, 1992. Helen also enjoyed solving the Rubik’s Cube and going to North Star Casino in Bowler to play the slot machines. She spent countless hours with crocheting projects and reading her daily devotions in Portals of Prayer. Helen will be remembered most by family and friends as a loving and caring person.
