It’s been more than four years since Herb Kohl left the U.S. Senate, but his educational foundation still gives millions each year to deserving school achievers throughout Wisconsin. Wednesday, the foundation announced the winners of $5,000 scholarships for 207 graduating seniors, plus awards of 3,000 each for 100 teachers, 16 principals, and their schools.
Excellence Scholars award winners in CESA 8 include Megan Fischer of Bonduel High School, Matthew Kostreva of Coleman High School and Hannah Williams of Shawano High School.
The Initiative Scholars in CESA 8 are Julianna Agamaite of Oconto Falls, McKenzie Bostwick of Lena, and Elizabeth Meisner of Shawano.
The Leadership Award for CESA 8 goes to Elisha Wagenson, Principal at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Shawano.
The awards will be presented to the on Saturday, April 22 at Red Smith School in Green Bay.
