Many local Girls Basketball players were named to the 2016-2017 All-State Team.
DIVISION 1
Sydney Levy-Appleton North- Fox Valley Association
Levy helped lead her team to an undefeated State Championship, scoring 18.7 points per game. Levy is a Junior but has been recruited to UW-Milwaukee.
Lizzy Miller- De Pere- Fox River Classic Conference
Lizzy had 49 three-pointers on the season, and averaged 14.6 points per game for the State Runner-Up De Pere Redbirds.
Honorable Mention- Kari Brekke-Appleton North, Maddie Re-Bay Port
DIVISION 2
Elizabeth Edinger-West De Pere- Bay Conference
Liz Edinger averaged 16.1 points per game, and also helped the Phantoms with rebounds and assists.
Shay Frederick-Hortonville- Fox Valley Association
Frederick was strong from behind the arc, hitting 79 three-pointers and averaged 16.7 points per game. Frederick completed her Junior season, and will head to Valpariso after High School.
Leah Porath- New London- Bay Conference
The Bulldogs leading scorer averaged 20.4 points and 8.7 rebounds a game. Leah Porath is heading to UW-Oshkosh.
Honorable Mention- Morgan Allen-Hortonville, Brehna Evans-West De Pere, Emily Higgins-Pulaski and Hailey Oskey-Seymour
DIVISION 3
Makenna Haase- Freedom- Northeastern Conference
Makenna Haase averaged a double double this season with 20.2 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. The Senior is heading to Clarke University after High School.

DIVISION 4
Taylor Nier-Wittenberg-Birnamwood-Central Wisconsin Conference 8
Taylor Nier led the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers on a road that took them to the Sectional Final and a 24-2 record. Nier averaged 15 points along the way.
