(No. 5) Notre Dame 57, (No. 4) Pulaski 43
The third time proved to be the charm for Notre Dame, as they topped Pulaski for the first time in three tries this season. Notre Dame held onto the lead throughout much of the game and should credit their defensive effort in the game’s second half, along with solid free throw shooting, as the main factors why they’re moving on. The game was tied at 27 entering halftime and Pulaski’s Emily Higgins led all scorers with 10 points at the break. Notre Dame made the necessary adjustments, and was able to get Higgins into foul trouble for most of the second half, not allowing her to gain any rhythm. The Tritons converted 14-of-17 from the line in the critical final minutes with both teams in the bonus. Notre Dame had a balanced all-around scoring effort, led by Kaycee Gierczak led all players with 14 points. Ashley Laskowski, Maddie Reitz, and Katelyn Morgan finished with 12 points. Haley Splan led Pulaski with 11 points.
