It was a spirited effort, but the Polar Bears came shy of handing Oshkosh North their first loss of the season. Trailing by seven at the break, Hortonville rallied back to tie the game 44-44 with 11 minutes to play. Tyrese Haliburton made some key plays down the stretch to spark a Spartan run that would eventually lift Oshkosh North to the win. Haliburton led his team with 19 points. Ryan Krueger did all that he could for Hortonville, leading the way with 30 points and connecting on seven 3-pointers. No other Polar Bear would reach double figures in scoring, as the team was once again without Charlie Schabo. The free throw line proved to be a huge advantage for the Spartans, as they converted 26-of-29 (90%). Hortonville also shot 90%, however they converted 9-of-10. Hortonville will hit the road to play Neenah on Tuesday.
