After a disappointing one-point loss to Green Bay West, the Shawano Hawks will try to bounce back against the No. 2 team in Division 2, unbeaten West De Pere. The Hawks have lost two in a row and four of their last five. Tori DePerry leads the team, averaging 14 points per game. West De Pere is known for having the best scoring defense in the area and are only allowing an average of 32 points per game to opponents. On Tuesday, they held Menasha to a stingy 18 points. The Phantoms took the first meeting against Shawano by a score of = 56-37. Brehna Evans had a game-high 24 points. She and Liz Edinger average an identical 16.3 points a game.

High School Boys Basketball
Clintonville (9-4, 6-4) at Freedom (8-6, 6-4) – Live on Frog Country 92.3 FM
Both teams share a tie for third place in the North Eastern with identical 6-4 records, but the Truckers hope to make it a season sweep of the Irish with a win Thursday night. Clintonville defeated Freedom on their home court Dec. 20 56-50, but are on the road tonight. In the first meeting, Tyler Petermann led all scorers with 19 points, while Nathan Krueger and Sam Wittman had 14 points apiece. The Clintonville defense stymied Freedom on the offensive end, as no Irish player reached double figures in scoring. Clintonville enters after a 64-52 loss to Denmark on Monday. Freedom comes into the game on a roll, having won five in a row. Charlie Jadin leads the Irish statistically, nearly averaging a double-double with 17 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game. Dwight Green also averages double figure scoring numbers for Freedom with 15 points per game. Green is coming off of a 34-point performance in the win over Marinette.
