A 31-year-old man from Manawa has been charged with burglary and criminal damage to property from a tavern break-in last October. When the owner of Courtside Bar went to work on October 19th , he had noticed the patio door broken and wide open. When he went inside he noticed video gaming machines had been broken into, drink chips and coupons missing from a safe, and a laptop had been missing from the office. In total, there was about $1,500 estimated in damage. In November Waupaca County investigators interviewed Andrew P. Akright, regarding other burglaries in the area, to which he confessed to breaking into the bar. Akright was taken into custody and remains on $1,000 cash bail.
