Xavier (3-2) at Seymour (4-1)
Two teams fighting to stay near the top of the Bay square off in Seymour, as the Thunder look to hold onto sole possession of second place behind undefeated West De Pere.
This game is a big opportunity for Xavier to prove they belong near the top. The Hawks enter play sharing third place with Shawano and New London at 3-2. Xavier enters 4-8 overall and have lost four of their last five games, however, their lone victory came during their only conference game during that stretch. For Xavier, it has been balanced scoring that’s led them. Two players average just over 10 points per game in Rebekah Vande Hey and Sarah Dombrowski, with Karley Weycker adding nine a game.
Seymour enters having won three of their last four and fresh off of a conference win against New London last Friday. Hailey Oskey leads the Thunder, averaging 17.5 points a game, good for second in the Bay. The Thunder also receives strong contributions from Raven Vandenlangenberg, Brooke Veldt, and Jenna Krause, who all average just under 10 points per contest. Seymour’s defense has also been a story, only allowing 44 points per game.
