Robert Gary Kieslich, 76, of Shawano, passed away January 7th. Bob was born March 21st, 1940 in Elcho Wisconsin. He graduated from Elcho High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s of Education Degree from the University of Stevens Point. He then continued his education and received a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from The University of Wisconsin Superior. Bob joined the US Army serving as a Military Policeman in Stuttgart Germany after which he became a Police Officer in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Bob was married to Arlene Diadul on February 19th, 1966. They were married for 37 years. He married Yvonne Fairchild on April 28, 2007. She preceded him in death on October 25, 2014. Bob’s career focus was in school administration in various districts throughout the state of Wisconsin. His interests included fishing, hunting, bird watching, collecting coins, stamps, and Native American artifacts. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Bob is survived by his three daughters, Kara Logan, Koren Bergeron, Holly Sanger, his granddaughter Parker Bergeron and his sister, Jodi Hanson. His step children Keith, Sarah, and Scott Fairchild and step grandchildren Nick, Travis, and Tyler Fairchild.
His parents, Virgil and Joyce Kieslich, his younger brother Terry Kieslich, and his wife, Yvonne Kieslich preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 141 S. Smalley Street in Shawano. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 5:00 pm until the time of the service. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #117.
