The Gresham School District released students at 10:30 Monday morning due to, what was being identified as, electrical issues. School Superintendent Newell Haffner said he decided to release students at 10:30 due to being forced to cancel lunch.
“The power went out in half the school just before 8:00am” said Haffner. “The Elementary started getting cold, so we called school at 10:30.”
Haffner said the plan is for school to go on as scheduled on Tuesday, but any change will be noted through typical district cancellation practices.
