Ronald C. Kosinski, age 68 of the Town of Washington, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, December 29, 2016 at Atrium Post-Acute Care at Birch Hill following a nine month courageous battle with colon cancer.
Ron was born January 29, 1948 in Chicago, IL, a son of the late Florian and Irene (Geigner) Kosinski. He attended Catholic grade school and graduated from St. Rita High School in 1966. Following school, he studied electronics at the DeVry Institute. On January 16, 1969 he entered the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve. He was a radio operator for both telephone and teletype. Following the service, he was employed as a tax analyst for the State of Illinois from 1984-1999. On July 11, 1994 Ron was united in marriage to Candace “Candy” Hadnott in Chicago. After Ron’s retirement, the couple moved to the Shawano area.
Ron was raised a Catholic. His hobbies and interests included electronics, reloading his own ammo, and the country living that the Shawano area provides. He was an avid Packer fan, and loved collecting teddy bears. Ron was a very supportive and loving husband, and not a bad cook. He had a strong will.
Survivors include his wife, Candace of the town of Washington; his step-son, Peter Lance of South Carolina; and his cousins, Paulette Green, Dolores Wronowski, Elmer Matsche and Ralph Matsche.
A Funeral Mass for Ronald C. Kosinski will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Father Luke Ferris will be the Celebrant. Interment will take place in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10:00 until the hour of Mass.
