Brook Veldt Three Leads Thunder
Seymour 52, Pulaski 49
Seymour’s Brooke Veldt hit a three point shot in the final minute of a back and forth battle, as her 17 points helped lift Seymour over Pulaski 52-49. The game was close throughout, but Seymour had some timely shots that allowed them to stay on top.
“This was a huge game for our seeding in our Regional, but it also helped us get some confidence for the next part of our season” said Seymour Coach Bobby Kuchta.
Hailey Oskey led the scoring with 18 points, but Veldt stepped up for her team.
“Her three point shooting has been on this year and she is shooting about 50 percent on the season.”
Veldt hit four three pointers on the night.
Pulaski was led in scoring by Madi Winter’s 15 points. Emily Higgins had 13 as the only two Red Raiders in double digit scoring.
