Leading scorer on the season for Green Bay East, Zack Crockett, led the Red Devils once again in the scoring column with 17 points. East also received a 15-point effort from Larry Bruce, including 10 consecutive free throws to propel them to their first win of the season. East was able to execute its full court press the entire game, which resulted in numerous turnovers for Shawano, but the real struggle for the Hawks came at the charity stripe, where they converted just 10-of-23 for 43 percent in the game. Shawano’s Tyrell Hesse led all scorers with 19 points. Shawano will now try to earn their first win this season Friday on the raod against Xavier.

The Truckers once again relied on their good shooting to remain perfect to open the season. As a team they shot 53 percent from the field, including 7-of-18 shooting from downtown. Clintonville led at the break 28-24, but a 44-point second half performance allowed the Truckers to pull away from the Vikings. Tyler Peterman led the charge for Clintonville, scoring a game-high 28 points. Petermann was able to get to the line at will, converting 10-of-13 from the line. Clintonville had four players score in double digits. Nathan Krueger had 15, Sam Wittman added 12, and Jordan Koeppen chipped in 10 points for the winning effort. Being active on the boards was another key for the Truckers; they outrebounded Denmark 31-26. Blake Derricks and Brandon Sipiorski combined for 38 of Denmark’s 59 points.
