Talk of referendum may soon be heard in Bonduel. At the last School Board meeting, Bonduel District Administrator Patrick Rau explained the tough situation that he district is facing.
A survey was recently sent out to district residents, asking for input on options, which included referendum, or the consolidating or dissolving of the district.
Rau presented the results to the Board and claimed 39 percent of an estimated 600 responses said they supported a 1.3 million dollar operation referendum with capital improvements.
On the other hand, 23 percent said they favored a $1 million referendum without capital improvements, 11 percent said they supported a $750,000 dollar referendum and the cutting of some services, and 6 percent said they favored doing nothing.
The board did not take any action, but are expected to do so by early 2017.
